SMOGGIE

This is a 19-spread picture book about an introverted girl finding her place in the crowd and her way to communicate with the world, with the help of a spirit character Smoggie. Self-recognition and self-identification are not commonly talked about in the area where I grew up. Most of my peers didn’t know who they are or what they want. Some don’t even have an answer now. For me that’s a pity. I’ve put a good will in my story, in the hope that parents could put more emphasis on this subject, besides all the other values they want to teach their kids.
